Iron Clad fence project Ipswich — quality timber fencing

Built Tough. Built to Last.

A quality fence does three things — defines your boundary, gives you privacy, and adds value to your property. Done badly, it leans inside a year and costs you more to replace than it cost to install.

We use treated timber and genuine Colorbond steel, concrete posts to depth with proper drainage, and the right hardware for the job. Every fence is QBCC licensed, fully insured, and backed by our workmanship guarantee.

Fencing We Install

Timber Fencing

Paling, lap-and-cap, picket, and feature timber fences. The classic Aussie boundary — warm look, good privacy, 20+ year lifespan with quality materials.

Colorbond Fencing

Standard panel, slat, pool-compliant and custom Colorbond fencing in all 14 standard colours. Termite-proof, low-maintenance, sharp finish.

Pool Fencing

Compliant pool fencing in timber, Colorbond, glass or aluminium — meeting the Queensland Pool Safety Act requirements for height, gaps, and self-closing gates.

Security & Chainwire Fencing

High-security boundary fencing — chainwire (cyclone wire), tall Colorbond, palisade steel, and anti-climb panels — for commercial sites, yards, schools, sportsgrounds, and residential security.

Rural & Acreage Fencing

Post-and-rail, post-and-wire, and timber rural fencing for acreage, paddocks, horse properties, and lifestyle blocks.

Custom & Feature Fencing

One-off feature fencing combining timber, Colorbond, slats, glass, or steel. Designed to be a feature of your property, not just a boundary.

Frequently Asked Questions

Timber vs Colorbond — which is better?

Timber gives a warmer natural look at a slightly lower upfront cost. Colorbond lasts longer (20+ years), is termite-proof and maintenance-free. Both are great — we'll help you choose based on your priorities.

Do I need a permit for a fence?

Most boundary fences under 2m don't need a permit. Pool fencing must comply with the Queensland Pool Safety Act, and front fences sometimes have council rules. We handle compliance as part of the quote.

How much does fencing cost?

Pricing depends on type, height, length, terrain, and access. As a guide, paling: $200–$400 per metre. Colorbond: $250–$450 per metre. Pool: $200–$500 per metre. We give exact quotes after a site visit.

How long does a fence build take?

Most residential fences (60–100m) take 2–5 days from start to finish. Larger jobs or difficult access can run a week or two.

Who pays for a shared boundary fence?

Under the Queensland Dividing Fences Act, neighbours typically share the cost of a "sufficient dividing fence" 50/50. We can supply a quote suitable for negotiating with your neighbour.
